DRESDEN- Eric Dickerson Scheurman, 59, passed away at his residence with his wife by his side on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
He was born Oct. 16, 1965 in Zanesville to William F. "Bill" Scheurman and Greta (Dickerson) Scheurman Daugherty. He was a 1984 graduate of River View High School, and later from M.A.T.C. He attended Cooperdale Church of the Nazarene.
Eric married the love of his life, Barbara (McGrady) Scheurman on May 14, 1988. Together they shared 37 years of marriage, raising two sons.
He was a dairy and grain farmer until 2017, when fate and God had other plans for him. For the remainder of his working career, he was employed at Designer Stone as a polisher. He took great pride in the work he did there. From then one, he would examine every countertop and sink he saw and comment on the quality of the work.
Eric loved to travel, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. Barbara and he would wake up in the morning, pick a destination, and make a weekend trip of it. H
